from the accident I had the other day in my Z... the girl that hit me was 19 years old, had no license, had no insurance, and was not the registered owner of the car. Go figure. Just my luck right? Well, I found out that you can go after the owner of the vehicle if it wasn't stolen and there is a 15/30 clause. The owner is liable for up to $15k bodily injury and $30k property or vice versa. But, I just know that I'm screwed. Luckily, I have full coverage, but now I have to go through my insurance. So, in terms of rental car coverage, I only get 20 days at $25 for a rental car. My car is going to be in the shop for longer than that and looks like I have to fork out my own $$$ for the rental car past 20 days. This sucks monkey balls. I figure, she'll probably get a slap on the wrist, probably a suspended sentence, and maybe probation. She probably won't be able to get a license on her own, but what the hell, I only care about the financial aspect. I wonder if her parents can be held liable since she's 19. BTW, she knowingly drove without a license and insurance and had a 15 year old, a 17 year old, and a 1 year old in the car. What was she thinking? Well, she wasn't thinking. There is more freaking @#$@%@# protection for the criminal than the innocent. Well, what else is new, eh? Okay, sorry this was long and enough of my ranting. I need to go pop some kneecaps.
